While Jimmy Johnson remains an unknown, his behavour at the 2004
Vibe Awards definitely earned him some unwanted popularity within
the hip hop community. It was alleged that as former rapper, producer
and hip hop legend Dr Dre awaited the presentation of lifetime
achievement award, he was assaulted by Jimmy Johnson, thus resulting
in a massive brawl. It was reported that during the ensuing brawl,
Jimmy Johnson was stabbed and required hospitalization for a punctured
lung. Many reports claimed the police had reasons to believe Jimmy
Johnson could have been sent by Dre's rival and former Death Row
Record top gun, Suge Knight, though nothing has ever been confirmed. |
