Jack and Jason had a professional
relationship for a couple of years, when Jack helped produce the
first album for Jason’s band, the Von Bondies. One night
at a nightclub in Detroit, Jack and Jason got into it, with Jack
giving Jason a beat down, landing at least seven punches. There
was no doubt that Jack gave Jason a black eye and bloody nose,
but no one is sure of why or how the fight got started. Witnesses
said that Jack tried to talk to Jason and became irate when he
was ignored. But Jason said he didn’t know that Jack was
trying to talking to him, and he didn’t even know it was
Jack who started to knock him around. Jason also said he wouldn’t
call it a fight, because he didn’t even fight back. Which
could be true since the only marks Jack had was a few scrapes
on his knuckles. Others speculated that Jack took his frustrations
out on Jason because he had heard that the Von Bondies weren’t
pleased with how their first album came out. Seems no one will
ever know exactly why it happened because Jack has since remained
quiet about the whole thing. |
