Who's the King? Both Jay Z and Nas are New York rappers and since Notorious BIG passed away the crown for the King of New York has been open to debate. They traded a few barbs at each other in their tracks but the feud was brought to another level when Nas brought a Jay Z doll to the Hot 97 Summer Jam that he wanted to hang on stage as part of a skit. Hot 97 told him they would not allow it and Nas refused to perform. Nas went onto Power 105 and went on the radio refering to Def Jam as an "evil empire". Hot 97 set up a battle rap between Jay Z and Nas where Jay Z rapped about getting with Nas' baby's mother and Nas rapped about a stabbing that Jay Z was associated with. Fans were allowed to call in and email their votes... when all the votes were tallied Nas came out victorious by a 52% to 48% tally.
