Denise and Charlie were married
for 4 years. Denise became pregnant with the couple’s second
child and subsequently she filed for divorce. At first it was
not known why she did it, but there was speculation that Charlie,
a former Hollywood bad boy, had gone back to his old ways. After
a brief reconciliation period, they decided to go ahead with the
divorce. That’s when the drama unfolded. Denise filed a
restraining order against Charlie because she said he threatened
her and her family, and said that he likes to look at gay pornography.
She also said that on top of his addiction to gambling and drugs,
he cheated on her with prostitutes. She also wanted Charlie’s
visit with their two daughters supervised. Charlie said that her
claims were “vile” and the “most obvious immature
and transparent smear campaign designed to hurt, embarrass, and
ultimately extort me.” He said he wouldn’t stoop to
her level for the sake of his children.
After a while things between the two seemed to cool and they were
relatively civil toward each other in public. Then Charlie went
to the court to ask that he provide his own nanny for the supervised
visits with his daughters, since he felt that the one Denise had
was there as her spy. Soon after, Denise herself went back to
court to ask that Charlie’s overnight visits with the children
be stopped because she said he had some serious issues and was
a danger to their children. Charlie’s response was that
Denise was the one with issues, and that the truth would come
