Kim and Alec were married for 7 years when
Kim filed for divorce. The reason she put when filing was irreconcilable
differences, and soon the public saw a very bitter divorce and
custody battle. The former Hollywood couple showed disdain for
each other while they battled it out for custody for their daughter
Ireland. A court decided they would temporarily share custody,
but even then Kim and Alec refused to call a truce. Not only did
they call each other crazy, but Alec accused Kim of trying to
drive their daughter against him, while Kim countered that it
was his own anger issues and outbursts that was the cause of their
distance. Then Alec took Kim back to court because she had violated
their custody agreement when she didn’t notify him of important
issues regarding Ireland.
Things took a turn for the worse when an irate Alec left a nasty
voicemail to his daughter after she missed a scheduled phone call
from her dad. The voicemail was mysteriously leaked to the media
for all to hear. Once again the former Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin were
back in court, this time Kim being the petitioner. The judge heard
the voicemail recording and then took Alec’s parental rights
away until another court hearing. Of course Kim was pleased. Alec
accused her and her lawyer of being the ones to leak the voicemail,
but they maintained their innocence. |
